Black Is Beautiful Celebrations

Celebrate the opening of Black Is Beautiful with light hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and the sounds of Winston-Salem State University’s jazz ensembles. Guests are encouraged to wear black as a contrast to models who will be dressed in colorful African prints inspired by the exhibition.

Drop in and visit the exhibition before it opens to the public on Saturday, February 5! Light bites and a cash bar will be available beginning at 3 p.m. and live music compliments of Winston-Salem State University’s jazz ensembles will start at 4 p.m.
RSVP by January 31 for the 3 – 7 p.m. event only; no reservation required to drop in between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
To keep our guests and staff safe, Reynolda House is adhering to event protocols put in place by Wake Forest University to minimize the spread of COVID-19. These include:
- Masks worn indoors at all times.
- Proof of vaccination and booster shots or a negative COVID-19 test presented prior to entering the Museum. Originals, copies, and digital images of CDC vaccination cards, or test results, will be accepted.
- Food and drink consumed outdoors only.
