12 Things You Need to Grow Good Roses
Location: Reynolda Gardens Education Wing and Online
Cost: $5 not-yet-friends; Free for Friends of the Gardens and Wake Forest University faculty, staff, and students
Roses are thorny, but the process for growing them doesn’t have to be. Become a rose-growing ace with a little help from Winston-Salem Rose Society’s Jimmy Speas. Speas will offer guidance on simple rose care techniques, such as what to feed and when to water, and review the essential items needed to grow good roses. Advance registration is required.
