Family First Workshop: Printing with Light (Tote Bag)

Location: Reynolda House Museum of American Art

Cost: $30 for adults and youth | $24 Member adult and youth

Set aside your digital photographs and inkjet printer and learn a little about how artist Imogen Cunningham’s photos were created. Then, with photosensitive fabric dye and the power of the sun, each participant will experience the magic of transferring a photographic negative onto a surface.

We’ll use a tote bag; all materials provided. Participants can submit their own photograph a week before the workshop or choose from provided Reynolda-themed images.

Family First Workshops are for children in grades 1 through 6 and an adult companion. We’ll spend time in the temporary exhibition, Seen and Unseen: Photographs by Imogen Cunningham, then both adults and children will create their own artworks in the Reynolda studio classroom.
