In search of the perfect pollinator photo? In the Gardens, find salvia and you are sure to find a dozen bees happily hovering around. Hummingbirds and butterflies also gravitate towards this fragrant and colorful plant.

“Salvia” is derived from the Latin salvere, meaning to heal or good health; however, this common name refers to the herb Sage (Salvia officinalis) and not the ornamental salvias we find flowering in gardens.
