You’ll most likely smell osmanthus fragrans before you see it. With a powerful, citrusy scent, this broadleaf evergreen with tiny white blooms is also known as sweet osmanthus, sweet olive, tea olive, and fragrant olive. It’s a species native to Asia from the Himalayas through southern China to Taiwan.
