Fire is a natural part of the environment and many of our forests and natural spaces require fire to remain healthy and thrive.
James Bentley of the NC Forest Service will talk about how prescribed burns are a critical management tool that benefit forests and wildlife and help reduce the impact of wildfire hazards in North Carolina. Bentley managed the Reynolda meadow burn in February 2024, which he’ll discuss in his lecture, as well.
Come out and learn about how Reynolda’s partnership with the NC Forest Service is helping us better manage our Greater Gardens.
