Portraits of the Artists

The American photographer Arnold Newman is best known for his environmental portraits of artists and performers. In this exhibition on view in the historic house, Newman’s portraits of artists in their homes and studios will be paired with works from the Museum’s painting collection, including those by Stuart Davis, Horace Pippin, Reginald Marsh, and Charles Sheeler.
