Guided Tours

Leaders from motor coach groups, churches, family reunions, college faculty, and more can book a guided thematic tour of the Museum. Reynolda House tours are led by a trained Museum docent or staff person, who will use an inquiry-based approach to discuss select masterpieces of American art from 1755 to the present. Tours of Reynolda include the historic 1917 bungalow and changing exhibitions in the Mary and Charlie Babcock Wing. While visiting the Reynolda estate, groups will also learn about American history of the South in the early twentieth century. Group leaders may request customized tour options in advance.

Visitors can self-tour Reynolda using the Reynolda Revealed app on a mobile or tablet device. iPads are also available at the front desk for use at the Museum.

Both the tour and art project are designed with the special needs of the participants in mind. Visitors served by this program include Exceptional Children classes from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools, patients in psychiatric treatment programs, at-risk youth, mentally and physically disabled adults, and disadvantaged youth. The program is free of charge to participants.
