Gifts of stock

Electronic Transfer is the most efficient way to transfer securities to the Museum. Notify your broker that you wish to make a gift of securities to Reynolda House Museum of American Art; brokers will need written authorization from you before they can make the transfer. Be sure to tell them the name of the stock that you want to transfer, the number of shares, and where you would like your gift to be designated.

Once you have authorized the transfer, ask your broker to contact Gayle Parker at parkerdg@wfu.edu or 336.758.6086 to notify her of the gift. When sending your gift of stock, please indicate in writing that your gift is intended for Reynolda House Museum of American Art.

We also ask that you contact advancement@reynolda.org or 336.758.5889 to let us know that the gift is in process. Shares are sometimes transferred into our account without information, including the donor’s name. Your notification will allow us to match up the donor’s name with the correct stock gift.

Endowment gifts

An endowment gift begins working immediately and retains its value forever. When you give to an endowed fund, the principle of your gift is maintained in perpetuity, while a portion of the income it generates is used to support general operating costs and programming. Your endowment gift can also be designated to support a special purpose.
