Join us on Thursday, October 1, 2026 for Reynolda’s Opening Night Gala for Chimes of Freedom: Folk Singers and Fellow Travelers, presented in conjunction with the exhibition Flash Point: The Civil Rights Photography of Danny Lyon.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. in the Charles Babcock Gallery with Chimes of Freedom featuring contemporary interpretations of music associated with Harry Belafonte, Bob Dylan, and other artists connected to the Civil Rights Movement. Chimes will explore the cultural landscape in which Danny Lyon’s photographs were made. The performance will reflect on a moment when musicians, activists, and artists were engaged in a shared project of witnessing and social change.
Following the performance will be a tented seated dinner on the front lawn of Reynolda House.
